Bring your Pet To Us

Surrendering Your Pet
We understand that it is sometimes necessary to relinquish a pet.  The Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League accepts cats, kittens, dogs and puppies based on space available.  We are not able to care for exotic pets, livestock, reptiles or wild animals.  All pets are tested for communicable diseases and evaluated for suitable temperament prior to adoption.

Please contact the shelter in advance before bringing an animal to surrender.  Email us or call 561-686-3663.  We do request a $25.00 processing fee per pet to help cover some of the costs incurred.  On average it takes the League $400 to get every animal we receive ready for adoption including vaccinations, testing, spay and neuter, microchip and the daily care, feeding, training and enrichment.

If you are disabled, on public assistance or otherwise unable to afford the processing fee please contact customer service 561-686-3663.

Saying Goodbye To Your Pet
We understand the grief that comes when it’s time to put your pet to sleep.  Through compassion and the utmost respect for your pet, we can help you through this difficult time.  Please refer to our Pet Loss Support page for more information on grief counseling.

We can euthanize your pet at your request , there is a fee for this service.  For more information or to schedule an appointment please call customer service (561) 686-3663  to schedule an appointment.

If Your Pet Dies At Home
You may bring your deceased pet to us, which we will cremate.  You may choose to have a communal cremation or a private cremation for your pet.  If your pet receives a private cremation, the ashes will be returned to you in your choice of urn or you can place your pet’s ashes in our Columbarium, located in the Berman Memorial Pet Gardens.
