Happy Tails

Check out this month's success story from Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League

Meet our volunteer Jim and his gang of dogs he adopted from the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.

Rocky Road was the first; He was turned into the shelter because his owners no longer had time for him. Despite his original appearance and wonderful personality, he was here for exactly one year when Jim adopted him.

Emmi was the second; Jim saw Emmi and fell in love with her, but wasn’t sure about getting another dog. He decided to think about it, but when he came back for Emmi she had already been adopted! Not long after, Rocky Road had been diagnosed with Lymphoid cancer and Jim’s vet recommended getting another dog while Rocky went through (which he is still receiving) Chemotherapy, they both agreed having a friend might help with the recovery. Jim came back to the shelter and guess who was here? Emmi! So he adopted her right away.

Then came Zada, she had been in and out of the shelter three times since June of 2005. The last time she was brought back, she stayed here for almost a year. Jim wasn’t sure how three dogs would work out so he fostered Zada to make sure all was well and the three dogs got along great, so he adopted her shortly after he tool her home.
